Wedding Day Checklist

Two Weeks Out — Let's Make Sure You're Ready

The small things show up in photos more than you'd think.
Go through this list once in the next two weeks and you'll be set.

A well-prepared morning is a calm morning — and calm makes beautiful photos.

Flat Lay Prep

What Is a Flat Lay?

A flat lay is an overhead shot of your wedding details arranged beautifully together. One great flat lay image makes your entire gallery feel more complete and editorial.

📦 Flat Lay Box Tip

Pack everything the night before. Morning-of chaos is real. The ring is the most commonly forgotten item — put it at the top of the list.

Getting Ready Room

A Few Minutes of Tidy = Better Photos

About 30 minutes before I arrive, tuck away bags, cans, and clutter — anything that doesn't belong in a photo.
Drink cans, plastic bags, open suitcases — they ruin the feel of the room even in the background.
Open the curtains wide — natural light is the best thing for skin tones. The more the better.
Hang your dress near a bright wall or window, not a dark door — the details read so much better in light.
III.

Dress & Veil

Dress Day-Of

Hang the dress prominently key shot
Near a bright wall or window. This is one of the most important detail shots of the day.
Bring the veil unfolded
Folded veils crease and are hard to fix on the fly. Keep it full when transporting.
Check the train length
Long trains need someone to manage them — a friend, the MOH, or the dress helper service.
IV.

Bouquet & Flowers

Bouquet Timing

Confirm your florist's delivery time in advance — the bouquet must arrive before I start shooting detail photos.
Place it in water immediately on arrival. Bouquets left out dry out fast and it shows in photos.
The boutonniere should be in the groom's room ahead of time — don't leave it in the bridal suite.
